This is not goodbye...

For the first time, pretty much ever, I have been having trouble with a super simple customer question:

 

"When are you restocking ___?"

 

And the reason that it's been hard, is that quite frankly, trying to imagine the future of Eclair Lips while running Eclair Lips has me feeling a bit paralyzed.

 

For years, everything in me has been telling me to slow down.

 

Sooo, I thought I would slow down, but sloooowly. 😁

 

But that little voice deep inside did not think that was funny.

 

She pretty much said: by slow down, I mean put on the brakes, now.

 

And when I looked inward, with a sad little pouty face 🥺, she looked back at me, with what I imagine is the same look my kids see when I am telling them how things are going to go, and she said:

 

You want to re-imagine what this business looks like. To make it work for you and your girls. But you can't also run that business at full tilt simultaneously. I would tell you that you need to choose one, but we're really beyond that now. So get yourself ready, because we are putting this business into a holding pattern to give you the time to dream and plan for what's next.

 

Gulp.

 

Unlike my kids, I have the wisdom to not argue with that voice.

 

And so here I am, preparing to put things on auto-pilot so-to-speak and feeling relieved, excited and nervous about it.

 

Ok, so what exactly does all of this mean?

 

💄I'm headed into production to stock up so that we don't run out of lip balm while I'm on this side quest.

 

⚠️The list of flavors I'm making is purposely very short, because deciding on which products I make moving forward is part of the reimagining.

🛑There won't be launches every month or so for a while.

 

🙊And I might be more quiet than usual.

 

🎁But I do have one big surprise up my sleeve for this spring that I hope will tide you over while I'm dreaming up my next era. I'm just not ready to tell you about it yet!
