Baume à lèvres Tarte à la banane

Okay so this might be a long review. I first order from EL a few years ago, and got the starter set. I remember not being thrilled with the lip balms, compared to another brand I was using. I even gave my Candy Tart one to my daughter for her play makeup. The lip balms sat unused for while until for some reason, I grabbed my Banana Cream Pie and decided to give it another chance. And W.O.W!!! I instantly fell in love! I quickly went thru the BCP and went on to the other scents in the set. I don’t know what happened or changed, maybe I was having a bad day, but these lip balms are AMAZING! I was so sad when I finished all of the balms I had. (My favorite was Cotton Candy Ice Cream)! They are creamy, smell great, moisturizing, not sticky, just an overall amazing product. Only complaint? I wish we could get more of the vault flavors!!! Definitely consider trying these lip balms!

This is pure creamy candy banana heaven. My teenage boys love it, and my husband loves the nostalgia factor. Perfect buttery smooth formula. Love love love.

It smells a tiny bit artificial, and I would prefer if it smelled creamier or richer. I still like it though!

This is a rebuy for me. I’ve never used banana lip balm before, but it’s really nice. Feels very tropical

I grabbed a handful of different scents to try and hands down by far this is the best of them all- it smells SO good! And the balm itself is great and lasts hours

Scent is amazing! Pro-tip…put Banana Cream Pie on upper lip and swipe Beaver Butts on bottom lip and it’s just like bananas foster!!! 😂 Smells great and feels great too!

I never, like many, drink enough water. Also living in CO the air if dry af. My lips are always so dry, peeling, sometimes even crunchy with how dehydrated they get. I have to be kinda consistent using the product but I haven’t reapplied in 12 hours and my lips are dry on the surface but there’s no cracking peeling or crunchy feeling anymore! I’m so grateful to have found a product that makes a difference.

I haven't actually tried this one yet because I also ordered a different balm that actually arrived first. Reading the other reviews about the smell made me want to open it up. (And I remembered the slight difficulty I have in opening it and the one I'm currently using. The seal doesn't tear as nicely as I would've hoped so I need to pick at it, and I'm totally fine doing because that's only needed when you open it for the first time.)

I can definitely say it has a strong banana smell. I think there's a hint of vanilla in there as well but when you're eating a banana cream pie the cream is an enhancement bed that the sugary banana flavor sits on.
It does smell like the banana flavoring that is used in products. If I recall though, that flavor is based on a type of banana we no longer have because it died out. (Personally I'd really like to try one of those bananas because it smells sooooo goood). That's probably at least one reason why it may come off as artificial. I can't say that it isn't made artificially since it is literally from an extinct banana, but if I'm correct, it does stem from a natural source that we just don't have access to anymore.
Either way, I do love the banana scent and am looking forward to testing it out. I might start using both flavors I bought and alternate between them because I'm really excited to actually use this banana cream pie flavor! <3

The banana flavor is exquisite. It comes up fast, clear, and strong and lasts quite a while. It reminds me of banana popsicles, my favorite treat from long ago. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I love this lip balm! It smells just like banana candy and even tastes like it a little bit too. The scent isn’t too overpowering though. The balm itself is really moisturizing and feels nice on the lips. I also love supporting a small Canadian business with my purchase. I will definitely be repurchasing when I’m done my current tube!

I was unsure about spending a little more on lip balm; however, I am so glad I took a chance and will never go back to using anything else. This is my favourite scent so far!!!

I LOVE this selection! The banana is prominent and pleasant. I haven't opened up all the other scents yet, because I don't like to open up too many at a time before I get to use them, but if they are anything like the banana, I know I will love them as well!

Very smooth, feels so good on my lips. Finally a product that doesn’t dry my lips more and stays on.
