Do Our Lip Balms Contain Beaver Butts?
Comments from trolls can be annoying, but sometimes, they can be pure gold. Like that time someone said we use flavors that contain secretions from a beaver's butt in our products.
Now, there is really a substance called castoreum that comes from beavers AND is used in some fragrances. We don't use it in our products, and I couldn't help but reply to this person with my own silly comment.
It made us giggle, so we made a meme out of it to share on our socials. People loved it, and it didn't take long before they were urging us to make a Beaver Butts lip balm.
So, we did! Within a few hours they were up on our website, and by the end of the day we have sold hundreds of them to some eager beavers that wanted in on the joke.
Although castoreum is said to smell like vanilla, I decided it would be more fun to have maple-scented Beaver Butts. Because ya know, we're Canadian after all.
While they did sell-out quickly, we do make a batch every once-in-a-while. Keep an eye out!
