I'm sure you won't be surprised that one of the big reasons I started my business is because I wanted to make a better lip balm. I wanted something that was natural but fun too and because of the sensory aspect of lip balm is really important to me. I wanted something that felt just right when I put it on.
I had a lot of fun experimenting and coming up with my formula, but that's not really the reason I decided to start a business. I mean, I could have just made some for myself every now and then and not sold them but I'm one of those people who gets bored really quickly when I'm on a job. I love a challenge and figuring new things out. And I had always wanted to start a business but I kept thinking it wasn't the right time.
After I gave birth to my second child, I realized that what seems like the right time on paper was probably another 20 years. away. And it made me realize that how I felt inside was more important than a bunch of external factors.
So I decided to jump in. I already believed in my product, so I just had to believe in myself now.
